How it works

One process, both sides of the table.

Workers apply once and hear back by text. Employers get a screened short list and decide from a link. Here is every step in between.

If you are looking for work

From the board to the site

  1. 1

    Search and save

Filter the board by trade, location, pay, shift, start date and the cards you hold. Save the jobs worth a second look; no account needed for any of it.

  2. 2

    Create an account and apply

Name, phone or email, password. Add a resume or a few lines about your work. Answer the job's screening questions. After the first one, applying is one tap.

  3. 3

    Hear back and get placed

A recruiter calls, confirms your experience and checks your credentials. You get every update by text, with a status link that never asks you to log in. Then the site address, the report time and who to ask for.

While you wait

  • Run a practice interview for the job on your phone
  • Add your credentials to the wallet so verification is quick
  • Set your availability and travel radius
  • Turn on job alerts by text for your trade and state

What it costs you

Nothing.

The company hiring pays our fee. Workers are never charged to look, apply or get placed, and we never sell your details.

If you are hiring

From a request to a first day

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

Post a requisition from your account or send a two-minute job order from your phone: trade, headcount, site, start date, shift, pay, and the credentials and screens the work requires.

  2. 2

    We source and screen

We work our bench, the board, text-to-apply and referrals. Every candidate is interviewed and scored against your requirements. Mandatory cards are verified; missing ones are knockouts.

  3. 3

    You decide, we place

Submissions arrive as links with the scorecard attached. Advance, schedule an interview or pass. We send the offer, confirm the start, and the site details travel with the worker.

After the placement

  • Site compliance view: anything expiring on your jobs, flagged early
  • Timesheets, approvals and invoices in one place for temp and contract work
  • A guarantee period on every placement, with replacement if it does not work out
  • Reorder a filled job with one click when the next phase starts

What it costs

Agreed in writing before any candidate is sent. A flat placement fee for direct hires, a markup on the hourly rate for temp and contract work. Nothing is billed until someone starts.

Straight answers

The questions we hear most

Is ConstructionDad a staffing agency or a job board?
Both. The board is open to everyone and free to use. Behind it is a recruiting team that screens every applicant and places them with the contractors who post the work.
Who sees my information?
Workers: the recruiters handling your applications and, once you are submitted, the employer for that job. Employers: the recruiters on your engagement. Nobody else, and nothing is sold.
What about texting?
Workers choose whether to be texted and can reply STOP at any time. Employers get texts only where they have asked for them. The full program terms are on the text message program page.
Can I use this in Spanish?
The job board, the apply flow and the worker portal switch to Spanish with one tap. The employer side is in English.

The board is open. The employer account takes a few minutes.
